Breakfast at Le Giue was exceptional, fruits, yogurts, focaccia including a fabulous one only made in this region and many sweet treats, juices and really good coffee. The location was a great find, high in the hills, quiet, with beautiful views. Just what we wanted after 4 busy days in Genoa. The property has been very tastefully decorated to a high standard in traditional style and extremely comfortable. Giuseppe and Euginia were lovely hosts taking care of our every need. This beautiful and charming room was a little oasis of peace in a bustling neighbourhood, with beautiful light and a unique view of the city, plus a very comfortable bed. Many small thoughtful touches from little biscuits in the room and a well-thought-out breakfast to restaurant recommendations on a board in the shared space gave a personal touch and welcoming feel, even as the accommodation offered convenient no-contact check-in via a key box. The hosts reached out via WhatsApp in advance to check on final details and provide check-in instructions, and were very helpful and welcoming. For our purposes the location was perfect - a few minutes' walk from Genoa P. Principale station, and just steps from the medieval old town, with numerous restaurants, cafes and museums. There is a major road in front which makes the view from the room more industrial than medieval, but with excellent soundproofing and optional air conditioning in the room this was no problem.
