Very nice guesthouse near Laxman Jhula but away from the crowds. I really enjoyed staying at Pooja’s homestay. It was clean & room was large, cozy, and I slept very well. Nice kitchen too. It is high up the bit steep hill from downtown, & I enjoyed the walk there to escape the noise & go to town when desired. It felt safe at night too, in a cute local neighborhood. Pooja is sweet and helpful, and it’s a nice independent stay.

The location is great, with a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Tapovan. The room was nice and clean. Most importantly, the host is extremely helpful. It was our first stay in India so we had a lot of questions and had no idea how to get around, and he gladly answered all of them. It really made our stay much more comfortable. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. One of my favourite stays in India. It was also very quiet, so I slept like a baby. The hotel is a great choice if you want to experience Ayurvedic treatments at a reasonable price in a clean, comfortable and quiet place. They have a whole wide range of treatments which can be arranged on the day. I also had one to one yoga lessons with a private instructor most mornings on the rooftop. Perfect for early mornings and no need to travel.
