Lakeside Suites is a real gem in Kolkata. It's the southern part of the city, which is less busy but well connected by bus, taxi or rickshaw to other parts of Kolkata. There are many shops, tea stalls and eateries nearby, and even phone shops to get a local sim. The rooms are very clean and spacious - both my wife and I had space to do yoga in the room- and there is a shared living room and kitchen per floor. There is freshly made Indian-style breakfast is served every day. The owner Manoj, his son and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and also very helpful in helping us navigate things like doing laundry, using train apps and finding things. I have to stress, though, that this place is super clean and there is even filtered drinking water available for all the suites. We had to stay an extra day, and they quickly accommodated us as well. All in all, a really nice experience that in all honesty we were sad to leave behind.

Reception and support staff really made it like home. It’s situated at a peaceful location with lots of great restaurants & cafes to explore. Airport transfer by Uber took me 35 mins on a Sunday traffic for 20 odd kilometers. I would definitely book this place when I visit Kolkata next time.

The great hospitality provided by the owner. (I got to have a slice of cake on her birthday which was coinciding on one of my stay dates.) They are absolutely graceful and treat the guests as their friends.

Hospitality By owner, I checked-in in too late but the Bhawani ( Owner ) understood and Assisted for my needs. Room was fantastic, with a dressing room, Bathroom is clean , Good View from Balcony. Up side is it is very near to Kalighat Temple , Transporation and metro are also were near if someone wants to explore it. Locality is silent and Peaceful.

In over more than 5years of travelling,this has to be the best place by far. Quite a d peaceful.Just what you want after a busy day. Host is just exceptional. A perfect guy who makes it very homely for you. A perfect guide and friend as well. Guest house is little away but well connected with transport.Tuktuk takes only 10rs to go market. Metro takes 30mints to connect center.You have to try this delightful place.
