Nicely located at the edge of the old town, immediately immersed in the small alleys as soon a you step out of the door. The rooms are recently renovated and have all you may need. Although we spent only one night there and we didn't need that, I very much appreciated to see in the kitchen cabinets all the basics to season a quick meal if you need to. That makes life so much easier upon arrival.

The hosts are kindly and ready to assist you with all your needs and answer all your questions, the rooms were clean, and they were changing our sheets and cleaning our rooms on a daily base. The rooms are bright and big enough. The food they are preparing is also very tasteful. You are away from the closest beach and supermarket only 5 minutes walking. Baja beach is also 10 minutes walk and the promenade on the beach is 10 minutes which is the path you can choose to go to the Old Town or to take a public bus which is 1 euro ticket cost in one way. Thank you, Elena and all your family for the beautiful days and experience. Across the street from the Athina, is the best Taverna in the Rethymno town called Zisis Taverna and it is important to be known.

The staff were really nice and ready to help with any requests, they also run the restaurant below which is perfect for a quick meal. Great location overlooking the sea yet only a very short walk to the centre. Easy parking nearby and possible to drive to the door for unloading. Good option for a short or long stay
