Room is clean and comfortable. It is a traditional building which runs by a family. They are really nice and helpful. They can prepare georian dinner and breakfast as request with reasonable price. They can also offer day tour such as horse riding, and transportation to/from Mestia. It is worth to spend a night to stay in Ushguli rather than half day tour. They have many rooms so it's good for group of friends or a big family.

I stayed here four years ago and came back as I liked it so much! The welcome from the family is fantastic and little touches like hot drinks/ wine and a snack after a walk were lovely. The meals were varied and delicious. Highly recommended.

Old House is a beautiful house located in one of the first little villages you reach in Ushguli. They have a lovely terrace, and we were met by the children of the family upon arrival, all very welcoming and kind. We ended up having both dinner and breakfast at the guesthouse after reading previous reviews, and we did not regret it! There were lots of other travellers also dining there, and they had set up private tables for us all, but we decided to rather eat outside together, which the family was very accommodating to. The food was fantastic, and the man of the house came to drink chacha with us all. The next morning we all had breakfast together, and those who wanted to go back to Mestia could do so for a fixed price of 50 GEL, and we could ourselves agree on the departure time. All in all a lovely experience with a very warm and friendly family, in a beautiful house, in a fantastic location. 10/10!

The warmest heart of Rusuldan and her family that is the most important for us. We are not looking for stars of hotels but we are looking for PEOPLE who are friendly, helpful, smilie, and keen on their job, countryside, country, Svaneti, Georgia. And we found what we are looking for or even more. Peace inside and outside, relax for us, hospitality etc.etc. That is also very good, that they can organize our transport to Kutaisi airport, what was a worriing question for us.
