Super friendly staff, lovely room and spotlessly clean! We enjoyed reading about the history of the property as well which the owners include in the welcome book. There was also a very tasty breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay again :)

The Minster Walk Guest house exudes offbeat charm. From the fun and cozy lobby to the little details in the rooms, our stay was a delight. Our room was very clean, with a big comfy bed, new modern bathroom and beautiful view of the Minster. You can't beat the custom breakfast that's brought straight to you room... it was delicious! And the location is fantastic. It was right outside the city wall, and quiet, but only a short walk into the city center.

Nice relaxing atmosphere, comfortable bed. Lovely house -even had a few treats to welcome you. I would definitely recommend and will be staying there again in the future no doubt

lovely, friendly guest house and if the weather is nice, a sweet outdoor space to sit in overlooking the river. Five mins walk - either along the river front or through the museum gardens to the centre of York and 5 minutes across the bridge to the railway station.

amazing value-for-money accommodation. will return here if we visit York in the future. There is a separate area for the children with their own bed and TV. Hope we can have more places like this in other cities.

Barbican House is a quaint house very fitting with the town of York. The property is exceptionally clean and the room very cosy and comfortable with everything you need. Durga and his wife are very welcoming and accommodating hosts and the breakfast is a perfect way to start your day. Would highly recommend Barbican House to anyone wanting an authentic visit to York. Location is excellent.
