The room was lovely, spacious, and calm. The restaurant/pub was lively with locals, yet there was always space for us and our friends. Food was delicious--great pies, tasty fish, satisfying breakfast, and fine beverages (especially the Jail Ale). But the best part was the hosts: always welcoming and kind, flexible and attentive to details.

Excellent, location, great food and drink and welcoming staff. Ideal place to sit with a cider in the sun next to the river Dart. A short walk will take you to the river ferry that takes you into Dartmouth for the day. We are going back in July.

a very warm welcome from the lovely host, who also provided recommendations for eating venues. the room was very clean, well equipped and there were extra touches like a fruit bowl and water. Stoke Gabriel is a very pretty village and it was lovely to be able to walk to the Dart river.

It’s just a stunning spacious and airy flat. As a landlord myself, I appreciate what goes into making a stay so special. The host is clearly someone with taste. I don’t care how snobbish that may come across. It’s simply a fantastic accommodation, coupled with a great location. Love love loved this place.

Totnes is an excellent venue , very eclectic with lovely people.
