A very cosy house with most helpful, friendly hosts. The hotel is situated in a quiet area about 10 minutes drive away from Lerwick (with a fascinating museum on the geology of the islands and the history of their people); the location is very convenient for excursions to another part of the islands every day. My room was equipped with a large fridge (very nice – grab your provisions for the day and be independent), also microwave and an electric kettle.

This is everything anyone could hope for in a classic B and B. The welcome is personal. The ambiance is homely and the facilities perfect right down to the odd creaky floorboard.

If Norlande was a Hollywood movie, I would say it had the highest production values! Amanda's communication was excellent, which I valued during a very erratic journey to Shetland for a funeral. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything I needed. It was a well positioned room, with a great bathroom and facilities, especially the monsoon shower with built-in radio. The bed was so comfortable, better than any of the big brand places, and I slept so well. The breakfast hamper was a delight and had more than enough supplies and snacks, which kept me going at breakfast and even at night at the end of a long day. The location is just 8 mins walk from Commercial Street and the main strip with its bars, restaurants for lunch and dinner, and for the shops too The Isleburgh Community Centre, Town Hall, and new library are all a short walk away. A taxi from the ferry to Norlande cost £4.50 with Allied Taxi (book ahead!), or you could walk in 15 mins on a drier day - they DO happen 😆 Amanda herself is very hospitable and welcoming. I would recommend Norlande any day.

very helpful staff, rich breakfast. The lady who served me at breakfast was a very friendly and cordial person. The facility manager is a great person. There was no problem with me checking in earlier. My stay was above average.

The hotel was neither far from the center of the town (about ten minutes walking distance) nor from the countryside (in less than five minute's drive could be out and away of town). Breakfast was abundant and more like a Scottish breakfast than a continental one. Could keep going till dinner time without a real need for a lunch break.

Ryan and Anita were the best. Wonderful accommodations in the heart of Lerwick. Great breakfast and helpful hosts in every way.

Very comfortable. Extremely quiet. Location is superb with a short walk to the centre. Breakfast was just great.
