Beautiful setting by the River Wye-lovely area for walks! The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was well-appointed with lovely products and good lighting, scrupulously clean! The George is a beautiful old property with a lot of history. The pub is amazing. It has a fabulous atmosphere, and was a lovely base to spend a weekend in the Forest of Dean. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The beams added their own charm to the room, but it was also modern and well decorated. The landlord and the manager were very welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. We particularly enjoyed hearing about the history of the pub. We didn’t get the chance to eat at the pub, because we were going out with friends, but the food looked amazing. We will have to return to try it in the near future.
