Ambleside Townhouse is a lovely accommodation. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. We had a spacious, quiet room with comfy beds and a nice view. Especially in the evenings, we were able to enjoy the sunset. The breakfast was delicious, especially the pancakes and sourdough bread with scrambled eggs and salmon. We enjoyed fantastic hikes in the area.

Everything. This place is absolutely, spotlessly clean, has very nice furnishings and bedding, the staff (especially Haley) is out of this world friendly and kind, and breakfast was delicious - made any way you wanted.

I stayed 3 nights in a single room. Wanslea Guest House is close to the piers of Ambleside and also close to the city centre. From the backdoor starts a beautiful hike to Wansfell Pike. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. You get to choose from a breakfast menu the day before und they also have cereal. The breakfast itself was delicious! The owners were really nice and so helpful, gave recommendations for hikes and if you need anything, they'll make it possible. Parking is free and you get discount for some restaurants in Ambleside.

Wendy is a super attentive host! She made the stay feel very welcoming and that every little detail was addressed. From check-in to parking (which was great to have as street parking was hard to find) to recommendations she was there to help with all of it. I also looked forward to breakfast every morning as Wendy's happy demeanor and energy was very infectious and set the day off right.

Lovely clean bedroom and bathroom, great location. Cooked breakfast tasted fantastic! Our 3 year old approved as he stayed in his bed most the night which is unheard of!

Our host and hostess were lovely - cheerful, helpful, pleasant, fun. The entire facility was impeccably clean, beautifully laid out, and comfortable. Lovely location for walks. Breakfast was terrific. All in all, a terrific experience. Would love to come back, and can't recommend more highly.
