Very welcoming staff and very comfortable room. Food was excellent. We came here as a stop off on our way through the area and we've booked to return next month when we travel back this way again.

Thank you ! It was absolutely fabulous and we will definitely go back. Alston is lovely with nice pubs, everyone friendly and a fabulous cafe called Cobbles Cafe which we would highly recommend for breakfast or cake.

My room was very clean, and nicely tidied while I was out. Breakfast was tasty, and I had a nice glass of wine in an otherwise empty lounge at night. I could have chosen to go to the bar, but preferred the quiet. Great location for cycling and hiking, and will definitely return. Lovely garden. Had a pleasant chat with a young man who works there, and who helped me out when I struggled with my door lock!MichaelSolo traveler
