Wonderful family-run hotel in the mountains. The rooms are comfortable with all necessary amenities and the breakfast is a delicious experience. The old mill lies upon a stream with a waterfall nearby. The hosts were really welcoming and friendly. The hotel is not far away from Saint-Jeannet and is about 20 min from Nice. Strongly recommend.

Laura’s place was a wonderful surprise. A lovely old building renovated. There was natural forest at the rear where the new pool was located and the little guest house. I found Laura’s friendly nature and hospitality exceptional. All of the guest facilities were new which also included and guest room with seating and tables. Laura had organized very well the information for guests as to the most popular sites to visit, and recommended a great restaurant in the evening. All in all I think this is an excellent place to stay, with everything new and Laura who was such a lovely host.

The accommodation is exceptional. We were staying in the suite and everything was perfect. We had a lovely patio with a table and a very spacious house all to ourselves. The facilities are incredible, including a very large bath tub. The access to the swimming pool was the icing on the cake as this guest house has only 2 suites so we got to have it all to ourselves when we came back from our day trips in the area. All places of interest on the coast are 30 minutes away, including Nice, Grasse and Cannes. The owners are incredibly kind and I could not recommend this accommodation more. One of the best I have ever stayed at.

I cannot fault anything about our stay with Claire and Jean Michele at au vallon rouge. Right from the start, we were made to feel at home . We walked up to St Paul de Vence each morning for breakfast, a 30 min. uphill hike not for the faint hearted but worth it , but we are both 65 and made it. The pool was a godsend after a day of exploring in 30 degree heat. We were given fantastic ideas and maps for touring each day. Which reminds me you do need a car. Overall a lovely experience. Thank you both.
