My room opens on a terrace right on the bank of the lake. It had a lounge chair and a chair. Great view. I also had the best croissant and baguette for ages. Really crusty as they should always be.

This means a more personal service in my opinion. The host Olivier was friendly. The hotel seems a little tired in parts but some areas have recently been upgraded. My room overlooked the lake and was very quiet once the music stopped at 2300hrs. The restaurant was very good both for dinner and breakfast. All in all a pleasant one night stay.

Good garden to sit out to eat, read, lounge etc. It is only a few kms from Treignac which is a pleasant town with several cafes, boulangeries and a supermarket. The lake only another few kms has lots of water activities. Masses of hiking and VTT trails in the area. Local woods are cool even in the hot weather. We only explored a fraction of what was available in the area.

We came across Pat a Touille initially by chance and have already returned. Eamon and Trish are the perfect hosts and they have created a truly charming and original place with original features lovingly kept and restored . The beds are very comfy and the breakfast is delightful. And you are right in the middle of beautiful Treignac and within a short walking distance to the sights, restaurants and shops.SarahYoung couple
