You should definitely take a bus or a taxi from the train station – we didn't, and it was quite a climb the first time :D ! Afterwards we realized that there was a free (!) bus coming from the station to quite near the appartment. Appartment is big, air conditioning worked in two of the rooms and the terrace was so nice! We didn't have a common language with the lady who handed us the keys and showed us around as we arrived, but somehow we still managed to get all the info we needed from her, she was very helpful!

Very nice and comfortable apartment. Pet friendly which was needed for us. A bit far from town but you can take the bus from the Gorguettes parking located outside of the community if you do not wish to drive. Comes with parking which is very useful in Cassis. Comfortable beds and nice decent size kitchen. The owner lives in the apartment right on top, and is available in case you might need something. Although we didn't use them they left us 2 bikes in the property which I though was very nice. Overall a great experience.
