The Baixo a Lua is a very cozy place and you feel welcome immediately. The host was very kind and offered a cold bottle of water right when I checked in on a very hot day. The room was very clean, air-conditioned and the place has quite new washing machines that I used to wash my clothes. The Baixo a Lua is ideally located very near the city center and it is a quiet place. Supermarkets are in walking distance.

I could not have picked a better hotel for my first night of the Camino de Santiago. When you enter the property, you are greeted with jazz, and the building and patio are beautiful. The rooms have all the amenities necessary and they're quiet and cozy for a good night's rest as you prepare for the Camino. Jorge and Ricardo went out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable and have a pleasant stay. When I checked in, Jorge walked me through a map of Galicia and explained where I could find last minute supplies in Sarria. Him and Ricardo greeted me in the morning with the most delicious breakfast and a big wide smile, I felt at home thanks to them. If you're indecisive about where to stay in Sarria, think no more and book Casa Solance. You will adore the experience!

This is a property which consists of 4 bedrooms. It is situated in the old part of the town which is very historical and beautiful. It has been restored sympathetically and provides everything a traveller could want. The decor is simple, very tranquil and tasteful. The host ( I’m sorry I did not get his name ) was very helpful, kind and friendly, offering helpful information before being asked for it. He regularly checked that we were happy. The room was a very comfortable size with an adjoining terrace overlooking the host’s private garden and offering vistas over Sarria. In the enclosed terrace, which was spacious, there was fridge with a complimentary big bottle of water, nice touch. The bathroom, from a woman’s point of view, has been exceptionally well thought out and planned. 1. The shower was powerful and the extractor fan also, which meant the bathroom did not steam up - great 2. The heat was put on immediately when we arrived and it was very comfortable to shower almost immediately 3. A basin has been provided for washing and a frame for drying also 4. Best of all for me there was a really powerful hairdryer which is something very few high end hotels even have The beds very comfortable and the pillows, perfect. I have done several Caminos since 2006 ( Frances, Ingles, Portuguese and currently dipping in and out of the Del Norte. This accommodation is up there with the best. I have stayed in Sarria many times before always staying in the Alfonso. Casa Barán is a pleasure to stay in and I had one of the best night sleep in a long time. If you decide to stay here please treat this Casa with the respect if deserves. If I ever go to Sarria again this will be my place of choice.
