We have stayed in some lovely places during our camino journey with amazing staff but A Casa da Botica stands out and if we could give it more than 10 we would. The staff were so caring and attentive and generous to us, the hotel looks brand new even though 5 years old, and the room had an amazing view of the monastery. It is such a pity that more people on the camino do not take the time to divert to Samos, this hotel is ideally positioned as you enter the town, it has a lovely garden to the side, and deserves to be fully occupied. We wish them all the success in the future and will recommend it to anyone thinking of traveling to Samos.

What a lovely property! Right near the Center of town and close to the monastery. This place has a wonderful outside area that is lovingly decorated with plants and flowers. It boasts a covered outside area with hammocks and it is right next to the river so you can wade in or just sit and hear the sounds of the running river. The bedrooms are lovely and I even noticed a bathtub, which is a luxury. It has a little kitchen to use and you can either have your clothes machine washed or hand wash them and hang them to dry. I arrived early and the host was there to meet me.

Wonderful accommodation and restaurant + bar. Terrific location that I booked, photographed and promptly walked by initially, as my goal was to get to Sarria since the weather was great. They gave me a number of a taxi in Sarria, so I called one and backtracked + arranged for a pick up in the morning to get me back on the Camino. For guests of the hotel are coin operated foot massager and they provided a wonderful relief at the end of a long day with a heavy pack. Great conversation, friendly vibe of the local customers who also come to dine here. Excellent rest in the guest room and spectacular view in the morning over looking the rolling hills.
