We really had an amazing stay at Gästehaus Sonnhalde (7 nights). Stephanie, the host made us feel incredibly welcome. We enjoyed the conversations we had with her and the many tips she gave us about the beautiful region. The rooms are large and comfortable. The terrace we had was also large, had a stunning view on the valley and mountains, and provided plenty of shade on hot days (or cover on rainy ones). We found ourselves spending a lot of time on this terrace, resting after a great day of hiking :). Also during our stay the rooms were really taken care of. We noticed that our beds were made daily, bins were emptied, windows were opened, towels changed, etc. Again, this gave us a welcome feeling. Breakfast was fantastic, and there was variation every day.

Breakfast was a wonderful, full German breakfast: tea or coffee, bread, rolls, meat, cheese, condiments, juice and yogurt. In addition, Lesley is so accommodating that if there was anything else you wanted -- like an occasional egg -- she was happy to provide it. Location within the town was perfect -- although Wieden itself is a bit remote (see below). That said, the countryside around Wieden is beautiful and restful.

Todo automatizado. El dueño es muy simpatico. Bonito lugar. Se pueden hacer excursiones muy bonitas desde aquí. Por cierto, vimos unos carteles de peligo con una bruja en su interior, no se muy bien a que se pueden referir (jeje)

Very close to the national park, you will receive a guest card with which you can travel for free with the public transport. Breakfast was simple but good. The staff was very nice. In the room there is everything you need - the water kettle, even a tea and you can also use the microwave and fridge located in a shared space.

Comfortable, very well equipped and roomy. Warm welcome. Beautiful views.

The food was great. The room was super clean. We slept very well there. There is a small creek and a hiking trail near the facility - super cool.
