The Pension Altstadt Mönch welcomes you in a top location in the historic center of Stralsund, 100 meters from the Alter Markt, the theatre, the Nikolaikirche and the town hall and 300 meters from the harbor with its beach promenade and the Ozeaneum.

We simply loved the Pension and its surroundings (die Altstadt). We also met the hosts and some of their colleagues on several occasions and they were all really friendly and outgoing. As other reviewers have mentioned, breakfast is available via vouchers in a café just around the corner (Mein Backhus). With so many edible attractions on offer, it's quite easy to exceed the limit of the voucher (€ 9.50 in 2023), but we didn't mind too much because the food and the coffee (we didn't have the filter coffee) were fresh and tasty. Some of the ladies at the café were nicer than some others, but we just decided to get over that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
