It’s run by a lovely couple who really made us feel at home. the location was fantastic, the bedding was great, it was super clean, plus a lot of really nice touches that made the room really comfortable for example they lent us cushions and blankets for the Passion play. (if you borrow some yourself- please make sure to return them, so that other guest can enjoy this service in the future !

I have travelled extensively and have to say this was one of the nicest guest houses I have stayed in! The room was very nice, clean, had a balcony with a great view! The breakfast was excellent and far beyond what I expected! The family who run the guest house were extremely nice and friendly. This will be my "go to" place to stay when traveling in the area again!

A lovely balcony with furniture to enjoy the view, unfortunately there is sone building work opposite and they start making a noise early albeit not a continuous noise. (Beyond anyones control however I feel it is important to mention). Very well presented and clean, shower is lovely powerful water flow and hot. Great having a parking space with the property. Host is great, very helpful and excellent communication throughout.

Breakfast was good and we parked right outside the front door for free which made it easy to take our luggage in and out. It was a pleasant ten minute walk to lots of shops and restaurants, but beware, most shops are closed on Sundays! We enjoyed eating at S'Wirtshaus (recommended by our host) and Hotel Wolf, and also enjoyed the view of the village from our small balcony.

Franziska is a fantastic host, very welcoming, she gave us valuable information about the nearby touristic places and she even provided us free bus tickets. My host was also very helpful, and the location can't be beat -- 5 minutes from downtown and the Passion Play Theater. Despite it's proximity to downtown Oberammergau, the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful, and the views from my room and patio were gorgeous.
