We arrived quite late for an overnight stay and we were greeted warmly and although the restaurant was very busy they got us a table for dinner straight away. Dinner was super and very cheap for the quality. The meat was delicious and in the morning we noticed that there was a butchers next door, we think belonging to the hotel. Our room was perfect for an overnight stay. The corridor towards the room was a bit grubby and old fashioned so we were delighted when we opened our bedroom door. Bed was extremely comfy and everything else was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was superb. What a choice, lots of different meats and cheeses and hot boiled eggs. Delicious bread basket was brought to the table and a fab range of extras including fresh watermelon, various fruits, yogurts, jams and a range of local cakes was on the buffet table. We noticed that the lovely lady waitress was very nice to visiting children and we thought the buffet breakfast was very appealing to all ages. We had to be careful not to eat too much! We will certainly stay again and aim to arrive a bit earlier in the evening to enable us to have a more leisurely dinner. Thoroughly recommended.

What a lovely hotel in the small village. Secure parking for our motorbikes. Great breakfast and the lady gave us a list of the restaurants that were open that evening. All within walking distance of the hotel

Friendly service, comfortable room and location was lovely. Super near to restaurants and walking distance to vineyards. As we expected to arrive late, our request to get the key after the official check-in time was easily accommodated and everything worked out fine. Breakfast was simple and nice, and we could even have our own choice of eggs - made fresh.

In the middle of the romantic medieval Sommerhausen, close to the river Main, clean room, good family-run restaurant with wine from the owners’ own vineyards, very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast with lots of variety and homemade preserves.
