The atmosphere of this place is just amazing. So close to the nature, green, calm area with the access to the river where you can start your morning with a swim. The owner is so friendly and helpful, you immediately see the place was created with so much attention (Harold, special prize from me for the playlist). Food was tasty, beds are comfortable, the common area is spacious and WiFi works well. The hostel is also very close to the waterfalls Poza Encantada you can enjoy. Best place to disconnect for a bit and just be, I’d definitely come back. Me encanto! 💛

The place is amazing. It's located on the beach so you have the best view. Perfect place to disconnect as you only have electricity 3 hours a day. In this hostel you can relax, perfect stop after some more hectic places. Though if you like, there are always parties available 15 minutes walk away. Marysol is great host with incredible hospitality. Even though the waves in the sea can be pretty rough, next to the hostel there is a river where people are swimming. I can recommend this hostel whole-heartedly.

The location was absolutely wonderful and our host Michael was very helpful and responsive from the get go. The breakfast (arepas with scrambled eggs and coffee) was always amazing. We had a transportation organised with the hostel, you can pay for this by card for an extra fee.

Close to the restaurants and shops. Easy to get to nice waterfalls and rivers. The room was lovely with a comfy bed

The hostel is facing the beach and it was amazing to go to sleep and wake up listening to the waves of the ocean. There are restaurants around and also a motorcycle point that you can use as “taxis” to visit the many touristic spots nearby. The staff is friendly and Andres was very helpful on giving tips of places to go and things to see.

Very unique directly at a calm beach. You hear waves. Super nice hosts. Really good for surfing. Relaxing. Less mosquitos than expected. Crabs on the beach.

Food was readily available. Depends on the restaurant. The more expensive restaurant had better seasoned food. Prices are still cheaper in this city. The check-in was easy, friendly bilingual staff. The view and sound of the ocean was perfect all night. For years I've played ocean or rainstorm white noise in my room in my house. This was the REAL thing. Truly Amazing! The canoes and kayak on the Rio river is fun. The drinks tasted fantastic a little weak but failed to mention I like them strong, barista was very friendly and polite. Everyone else seemed cool happy and chill, I was with my girlfriend we felt safe.

My stay at Yaku was wonderful. The room was incredibly luxurious and the view was unbeatable. The staff was kind, helpful, and attentive. I would be lucky to stay again!
