Built in 1586, the Gasthof zur Waag in Bad Zurzach is located close to the Rhine River, on the edge of the Black Forest.

I was on a cycling trip and needed a hotel approximately half way between Basel and Konstanz. This led me to Bad Zurzach. What I liked about the property was the heritage building with its interior courtyard where the restaurant was located. Also, the staff were very friendly. There was a place in the courtyard for my bicycle to be safe overnight.
