I've stayed at many 5* hotels e en a 6* The employees here made me feel so welcome. I decided to stay an extra day. My top floor room was actually a huge apartment. The shower could hold 4 people. It was gigantic. I will go back again to this bit of heaven in Rio

Bibi and Joubert are adorable people and wonderful hosts. The place is in a Favela at the north end of Copacabana Beach. I didn't realise that it was in a Favela, which required a bit of a climb up steps. A motorbike taxi can take you half way up from the bottom of the hill for 5 Reis, which is an experience in itself. But you need to walk the rest of the way, which only takes a couple of minutes. The room I had was large and clean with a comfortable bed and a cafe table I could put my laptop on. The room even had an epic view of Copacabana through a grove of giant bamboo. Talk about a million-dollar view! The breakfasts were different each day, very tasty and healthy. There was even a cliff-top local salsa/samba party right next door one night. It was fantastic.!

The neighborhood is perfect, with local bars, restaurants, beautiful architecture and nice small streets to walk around, the Villa is beautiful, breakfast in the terrace is fresh and complete. You can get great advise from the staff, the pool was always perfect, and the garden is quiet and calm after walking busy days in Rio.
