Everything turned out better than expected, even though we have been travelling extensively in the world. The lake view from the balcony was breathtaking. What struck us most was the remarkable hostess. Claudia gave attention to details and treated us like friends and family： Her advice about the drive on the Grossglockner saved us time and money but more importantly helped us avoid the loss of an opportunity. Will return to the same pension should we decide to come back to the area.

Completely renovated in 2016, Pension Max is just 50 metres from Lake Zell and 100 metres from the pedestrian zone of Zell am See with its many restaurants and shops. Free in-room WiFi and breakfast room; limited parking places available for free (10 places) ; system : first comes, first serves.

Very clean and spacious room. Excellent location with a 6 minute walk to ski lift. Located in old town so restaurants, supermarket and bars were only a few minutes walk away and train station was no more than a 10 minute walk. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfasts were fantastic too! We will return next year without a doubt!

If you are looking for a small pension with the right mountain family atmosphere and comfort ... this is the right place for you in Zell am See. Pension owner has a wonderful personal approach and her recommendations for surroundings are great. We had a well equipped room and bathroom together with a balcony full of flowers and with view to the nearest hill. Pension is located not so far from a town center (but on a well quiet place) and not so far from cableways which will transfer you to the nearest mountains. The lake itself is only a few streets away. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
