Rooms are nice and clean, location and view are stunning! A lot of space to roam around for our little toddler. Staff was super friendly and just made you feel at home. Food is home cooked and very delicious!

Wow, just wow! The place is beautiful and they are working hard in creating a beautiful guest house and facilities . You feel like family the moment you arrive with how this family treats you. Drita, makes amazing food . The breakfast spread was fantastic. Gjon and his sister Mary , are super happy people that want to make sure everything is good for you. Plus , they love to sit and hang if you like and share about their journey and culture and in general, anything you want to chat about over an espresso or glass of wine. Traveling around the Balkans, this has been a highlight not only for scenery and the location, but meeting people like this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We've just spent an unforgettable week at Rita's homestay in the charming village of Theth. Tucked away close to some fantastic hiking trails, this homestay offers an experience that's authentically rustic and beautifully simple. Don't come expecting the glitz and glamour of a five-star hotel, but instead get ready to be welcomed into a family home and immersed in a local cultural experience. Rita's homestay is a rare find that embraces its mountain roots with grace and warmth. The food here is an absolute standout. All meals are sourced directly from their own farm - from vegetables to chickens and fish. It's a culinary delight, with every dish embodying the true essence of farm-to-table. Our little one, just 1.5 years old, was treated like family, and loved every moment. This is a genuinely family-friendly place, making it a perfect location to spend some quality family time amidst the stunning mountains. Rita and her family extend a warmth and hospitality that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The sense of community and connection you'll experience here is truly unique. In a nutshell, if you're yearning for a retreat that blends tranquility, hiking, wholesome dining and a chance to connect with local culture, Rita's homestay in Theth ticks all the boxes. It's an enchanting, down-to-earth mountain paradise, and we're already planning our next visit!

We spent two nights here and we can warmly recommend it! The rooms are cozy, the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and there is easy access to lovely hiking trails in Theth (if you have a car). But mostly we absolutely loved the cozy intimacy of the place that made us feel at home. The hospitality was outstanding and all the food was home cooked and by far the best meals we had while staying in Albania, and so much we never managed to eat everything. At night we would sit and eat the amazing home cooked meals together with the other guests having a laugh while enjoying the lovely evenings on the terrace. Do bring warm clothes as the nights might get chilly. Some of our fondest memories from our two weeks in Albania were definitely staying here! Our sincere gratitude to the Mamas for taking good care of us, their warm hospitality and kindheartedness!

What an amazing stay with a lovely family We are very grateful to have spent two days with the Carku family. After we hiked from Valbona to Theth, we were warmly welcomed by the family members with a cool drink, a nice bedroom and clean bathroom. The first evening, we were surprised with a very tasty tradational dinner at the guesthouse. The family was accomodating to each of the guests' schedule. Breakfast and dinner was ready at the desired time. The view from the guesthouse is absolutely stunning. We oversaw the mountain we hiked the day before and Theth itself. The guesthouse is about 45 minutes walking from the valley (uphill). However, if you wish, you can easily hitchhike your way there. We strongly recommend this place and will definitely go here again.

AMAZING!! Le meilleur logement de notre voyage. Après une grosse randonnée la journée, nous avons été accueillies au coin du feu avec un petit raki. Maria est une dame incroyable et adorable. On se sent vraiment à la maison chez elle. Elle nous a préparé un très bon repas du soir, un super petit déjeuner et un lunch pour notre randonnée du lendemain. La chambre était exceptionnellement confortable, avec de nombreuses couvertures pour être bien au chaud dans cette maison typique des montagnes. Douche bien chaude également. Tout était parfait, un immense merci à ces gens si accueillants.
