The house and location is amazing. It is quiet and safe and lots of security to make your stay relaxing. The furniture and entertainment area is beautiful. We sat at the fire pit almost every night. Loved our stay.

Featuring a patio with pool views, a tennis court and a bar, Hippo House can be found in Knysna, close to Sparrebosch Beach and 400 metres from Pezula Golf Club.

We loved our holiday here…..the photos are very accurate, and the owner and her property manager were immediately responsive to a couple of minor issues. We did get woken up at 645am one morning by baboons trying to break in to the master bedroom balcony, but we fortunately had our balcony doors locked, as we are familiar with this local issue. Quite entertaining to watch them ambling over the golf course being chased by Security! There is no Welcome Pack provided so you need to stock up at the supermarket before arriving, which was fine for us as we intended to do bbqs and home cooking all week, so we already had half a supermarket with us:-). The house is extremely spacious with breathtaking views, and we can’t wait to return next year!

First Group Knysna River Club offers luxury chalets on the edge of Knysna Lagoon, in the heart of the Garden Route. It offers a private jetty and a pool surrounded by trees.

Facilities were super comfortable, conveniently located to amenities and recently renovated by all accounts. Reception was very welcoming and checking in and out was easy.
