This Luxury Tent Room has a private entrance with an open plan room with a Double Bed and bathroom with shower. The Luxury Tent Room shares balcony with beautiful views. We stayed at Harmony in the off season and we were actually the only ones there. Apart from the beautiful tent and view from the tent, we could see so many starts and the entire milkiway from our balcony, which was mesmerizing. Apart from all of that Mike is a very nice host and we had some good talks, he made us lovely dinner and breakfast and helped us if needed and provided recommendations and directions.

We stayed in Pod 1. We highly recommend the Pods for a truly unique experience. the lodge is beautiful but spending the night on the mountain is unmatchable. It’s a 40 minute drive from the Lodge to the Pods but it’s spectacular.

The food was mind blowing although it did that a while for the mains to arrive, and as a sign that we will return, our bottle of wine is still left with the waitress. Situated within the Amakhala Game Reserve, Safari Lodge - Amakhala Game Reserve is a thatched lodge offering an outdoor swimming pool, garden and sun terrace. The Port Elizabeth Airport is 88 km away.... We had a great time at the Safari Lodge. Food was great, staff was super friendly and always helpful, wonderful reserve and awesome ranger. Highly recommend it!

Located in the heart of the Amakhala Game Reserve, Woodbury Tented Camp offers an authentic outdoor experience in safari tents. The camp overlooks the ancient floodplain of the Bushmans River. We absolutely loved everything about this camp. Perfectly located, great pool, we felt like being on Safari at a friends house. Rob (the ranger) did an amazing job with two amazing game drives, we saw a lot of animals and had great fun. Even the shower in the tent was fantastic.

Situated in the Amakala Big Five Game Reserve, Bush Lodge offers an intimate lodge experience. It features an outdoor swimming pool, viewing deck and a number of game drives and bush walks. We had three fantastic days at Amakhala Game Reserve, Bush Lodge. The tents were very comfortable and the food very good. The game drives were amazing. Our game driver Jono did a super job. very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable information given during the drives and he was fantastic at spotting the animals and very dedicated to making sure we saw as much and varied as possible.

This colonial-style tent features a private deck with outdoor seating and military campaign-style furniture. The bathroom comes with a shower. Where to start… This safari was everything you want. Our guides were amazing (big shoutout to Johan and Liam) they were so happy, enthustiastic and very knowledgeable. They really care about making it a special event for you and they care deeply about the animals and protecting their enviroment. The accomondation are big tents with a big bed, toilet, shower and our own jacuzzii! The jaccuzzi is located beneath an open sky and i have never seen more stars then i did here. Truly amazing. Food was great, the safari area great, we spotted the big five but they were so much more animals to see. I really loved all the warthogs for example. If you want a real rural (but still luxorious) safari experience, Amakhala 1920s safari is what you should book.

Excellent in every detail. Beautiful views of the hills and ocean, luxurious chalets with fireplaces, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The wonderful owners provide a truly warm welcome. Possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Be sure to book dinner at the hotel - it's amazing - and try the wine that was developed for this amazing location.

This luxury tent features a private deck with panoramic views of the reserve. It comes with tea -and-coffee-making facilities, a fan and safety deposit box. Everything was done superbly well. From the service, to the food, to the decor and creature comforts. Wildlife at the watering hole behind the main house is plentiful - we even saw elephants and rhinos there. The safari tent style rooms are well spaced, oversized and well appointed. Special shout out to the guides that took us out 7-9hrs a day on drives and bush walks. Incredible experience overall.
