We booked a deluxe tent on the website for late Dec. Additional activities do not have to be pre-booked but many of the popular activities fill up quickly so it is advisable to pre-book if you want a specific time. Communication with the team was excellent with an accurate pin sent for the location. The camp is easy to find just off the main track. Arrival and check at reception were easy. They have an electric cart to move people and luggage around the site which means it is very safe for children to walk around and play. The tents are exceptional. Big, clean and well equipped. We had a shower and flushing toilet attached! At the back of the camp there are sand dunes maybe 200ft high, they can be climbed (or driven up) for a beautiful view of the surrounding area at sunset. The food was excellent with options to eat inside or outside. Inside tables fill up quickly so you may want to great early or wait until one comes free. There are plenty of tables outside. Again the level of service from the camp staff was excellent during meal times. The tent came with a small fridge, a kettle and air conditioning. There were a few mosquitos around but piff paff was provided and a few short sprays before bed solved it. While it was very warm during the day the temperature dropped at night and it is worth packing a long sleeved top/jumper for sitting outside when the wind picks up. The activities were well organised and ran throughout the afternoon and the following morning. Some activities prefer payment in cash and there are no ATMs nearby. The tent features a private entrance, a seating area, as well as a private bathroom boasting a shower and a bidet. The tent offers a barbecue, a sofa, as well as a terrace and a patio. I liked everything, especially the owner and the people there. I want to thank Rashid for being such a great human being, for all his care and everything he does. Breakfast was delicious, so was dinner. I had a great time in the desert and enjoyed to talk to Rashid about everything and anything. I recommend with all my heart, ifnyou want to enjoy the silence and also learn more about the nice people of Oman.

Nastanitev Nomadic Desert Camp se nahaja v mestu Al Wāşil. Razkošni šotor se nahaja v zgradbi iz leta 1998 in ponuja brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. Not cheap, but definitely very pleasant stay - nice, magic, rustical place, all facilities and food sufficient indeed, guys running the camp professional, really different experience. 10-15 min walk above camp goats and (some)cute camels.

Nastanitev Sultan Private Desert Camp je v mestu Badīyah. Nastanitev nudi dostop do terase, uporabljate pa lahko tudi brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. Everything! First of all we were completely alone in the middle of the beautiful omani desert: a unique experience! We loved the authenticity of the structure and of its owner, Humied (and the camels of course, the real bosses there). He is a very entertaining host: we ate together both at dinner and breakfast and we had the opportunity to talk a lot about Oman and its culture and traditions. The tent, the linens, the private external toilet were all very clean! PS: Unexpectedly, there was some sand in the tent, next time please provide us with a broom Humied 😉just joking of course 😜

The tent offers a barbecue, as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. The tent features outdoor furniture. The unit offers 2 beds. Zelo čist in urejen in prostoren šotor. Funkcionalna, čista kopalnica. Postregli so nam s sadjem, vodo in kavo. Lokacija je na robu puščave.

Guests will find a stovetop, kitchenware and an oven in the kitchen. The tent also has a barbecue. Hamood and his staff are very hospitable. we liked the small scale and the food was excellent

Located 50 km from Wadi Bin Khalid, SAFARI-Glamping offers accommodation in Bidiyah-20 kms inside the desert from the village Al Hawaiyah. This was the highlight of our trip to Oman. The accommodation is basic but very comfortable and well appointed given its location. It was so quiet and peaceful. The food fabulous and plentiful. Farhad is an amazing cook and looked after us beautifully. Honestly, we will be back. We stayed two nights and wish we had stayed a little longer. To fully appreciate this part of Oman I think two nights is the minimum. Our host arranged dune bashing and a sunset camel ride. Both were really fabulous. The whole operation is super well organised. Very slick - we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Just one hint - have your shower in the afternoon when the sun has warmed the water a little.

The Alsarmadi Desert Camp is an amazing experience. Our hosts picked us up in the nearby township of Bidiya, and it was only a short 30min drive out to the camp. You are surrounded by sand dunes, but high up enough to enjoy a beautiful sunset/sunrise. The hosts are very welcoming and can organise several activities during your stay in the desert. Some incur extra costs, like camel rides & lunch at a Bedouin camp. Or you can simply enjoy exploring the dunes, like we did. The tents are clean & comfortable, it was the best sleep of our whole trip! And as female travellers we felt safe the whole time. Breakfast & dinner were also delicious. Thank you to Said & his son Alfarooq for a wonderful experience in the desert!
