Such a privilege for the Mt Cook Station family to let us share a taste of their stunning corner of the island on this busy working farm. Tucked away from all the Mt Cook tourism and yet seemingly within touching distance of Aoraki. Spectacular views on the drive in - along almost the full length of the east coast of beautiful Lake Pukaki..the approach from Lake Tekapo if you drive 'over the top' is pretty special as the vistas gradually open up to the west as you come across. The Shearers' quarters are clean and tidy ..well appointed and comfortable with fab cooking facilities and great hot showers. Access to some wonderful walks on the property with astonishing views across to Aoraki. Alana is clearly very proud of her business and is a warm engaging host. Just be aware...you are WELL OFF the beaten track here. That's the joy of Mt Cook Shearers' quarters.

Featuring a private entrance, this air-conditioned mobile home is comprised of 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a hairdryer. Amazing tiny home in an awesome quiet, peaceful and elevated location with spectacular views down Akaroa harbour. 15 min drive into Akaroa but the tranquil peaceful location is magic. Accomodation is on a lavender farm and there are walking trails and full access to the rows of lavender. Lyn and Malcolm were exceptional hosts! Very friendly, kind and at tentative to our needs. Make sure to purchase some pacific blue lavender essential oil! Nice touches in the tiny house - with cushions that showcase the indigenous pigeons the place is named after and lavender water spray. Note that the toilet is a cassette toilet - this was not a problem for us - but it may be a surprise to others

This tent's standout features are the hot tub, spa bath and fireplace. Guests can make meals in the kitchen that has a stovetop, kitchenware, an oven and a toaster. We had such an amazing stay, I’ve been looking for some place like that for weeks. Amazing location where you forget the world. We stayed in the hot tube until the sunset and enjoyed the perfect day. in the mountains. We were only one booking in the area which made our experience even better. I highly recommend these huts. Just in the middle of nowhere❤️

This mobile home consists of 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. This mobile home features a carpeted floor, heating and a flat-screen TV. Sandy Feet was a beautiful, calm, secluded home with a lovely garden, and comfortable atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable, it was well heated with great facilities and homely decoration. The host, Bruce, is very kind and accommodating. Everything you need is there, and the location is great. Not too far from the city centre (though I recommend a car if staying here), and Sandy Feet is very close to the wide, sweeping New Brighton Beach.
