A wonderful stay. Only the sound of the river in the surroundings. The staff were very kind and gave us the best safari experience. The owner of the hotel, Asanka, organized the safari very well. We loved the setting, the tent, the unique dining experience, the cruise in the river next to the camp, the night tour and the great team! Wonderful hospitality with a lot of interesting explanation about the wildlife, flora, agriculture and culture. Very much recommend!!!

The tent features air conditioning. The unit has 2 beds. Situated in Udawalawe, 19 km from Udawalawe National Park, River View Safari Cottage. A great area in front of the beautiful river. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

The staff were superb. charming, kind and very knowledgeable. Avinka was incredible, his enthusiasm for the wildlife and leading us on our trek through the wilderness to find over 17 elephants was such a thrill. Mr Kumana was also so helpful and a great guide. the chef was very talented, considering we were in the jungle, the meals he created for us were some of the best we have had during our stay in Sri Lanka. Everyone we met during our two nights stay were just the sweetest people. The entire experience was fantastic and we totally recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy the joys of the Sri Lankan jungle with 5 star accommodation and food.

Situated in Udawalawe, 17 km from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta River Bank Resort features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This hotel is truly magnificent. The room is spacious, the large swimming pool is the private bathroom which is open to the sky. The hotel organized my safari day. The meals were very generous and I had the best driver. The staff is very friendly.

An exceptional stay in a well kept and sprawling property with friendly and accommodating staff and affordable and comfortable lodging options. A unique glamping experience where we enjoyed watching monkey mischief while relaxing by the pool, strolled through the manicured grounds and ate delicious meals from a wide ranging menu. The informative staff at the front desk assisted us with booking our 5:30am, 3.5 hour safari tour that afforded us the opportunity to watch the sun rise over Udawalawe park to the soundtrack of bird song. Our excellent guide, Nishante, pointed out a ton of animals with his eagle eye, two species of which we also saw. Highly recommend Kottawatta Village to anyone looking for a unique experience, surrounded by beautiful nature with the possibility to upgrade to luxurious options if so desired. A truly memorable experience!

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the pool area was nice. They arranged the safari to Udawalawe National Park. The driver took us around the park.
