The people...Abdullah and the entire crew at Shakria are phenomenal ambassadors of the Bedouin People's famed hospitality ...from the welcome tea, to the evening gathering by their community tent, to the exotic Zaarb experience to the interaction with Baby camels...they were exemplary. Abdullah's uncle took us for a sunset jeep drive and helped us find an exclusive perch to view the sunset 🌇....brilliant photo op! Their location allowed me to do a short (4.5 km each way) to a hillock right opposite the Martian camp to catch a fabulous sunrise vista. Dinner and breakfast was traditional and plentiful...seeing that my wife took a fancy to their cookies ...an old gentleman at the camp stuffed our bag with a dozen of them ... just plain generous folks. One must mention Max and his cousin ..two beautiful dogs (Salukis..I think) kept the kids constant company! To end the trip, Abdullah offered our kids a free trot on their camels ...while a colleague of his helped us learn the camel lingo to go interact with the baby camels, under their mom's watchful eyes! And if that wasn't enough...they were the most competitively priced ..esp for a camp in the category offering an ensuite private bathroom. It was as though you were amongst friends.

This tent has a barbecue. Set in Wadi Rum, Wadi Rum Magic Nature Camp provides accommodation with a public bath and an open-air bath. Teltassa oli kunnollinen lattia (irti maasta). Seinät olivat kangasta. Sisällä oli vain lamppu, sänky ja roskis - siis ei lämmitystä eikä esim. pistorasiaa. Sängyssä oli kuitenkin kaksi peittoa (joista toinen tosi paksu), joten nukkuessa ei tullut kylmä. Leirissä oli 10 majoitustelttaa (kaikki lähellä toisiaan), yksi iso teltta aterioita varten ja erillinen vessarakennus (jossa oli myös suihkut). Vessat olivat siistejä. Isossa teltassa oli tulisija, joten siellä oli lämmintä. Siellä oli myös pistorasioita (brittimallisia). Illallinen oli 20.30. Illalliseksi oli kanaa, joka oli hiljalleen kypsennetty hiekkaan haudatussa astiassa ja jonka nostamista hiekasta pääsimme katsomaan. Majoittujat kerääntyivät isoon telttaan jo ennen illallista juomaan teetä ja jotkut pelasivat korttia. Illallisen jälkeen jotkut tanssivat paikallisia tansseja, minkä jälkeen kortinpeluu jatkui. Aamupalalla oli paikallisia ruokia. Se oli tarjolla 7 - 8.30. Jos halpa hinta ihmetyttää, niin se on sisäänheittohinta. Autiomaahan ei ole oikein järkeä tulla vain nukkumaan, vaan majoittujat haluavat tehdä autiomaassa jotakin (esim. käydä jeeppiajelulla) ja leiri myy aktiviteetteja majoittujille (sieltä oltiin jo pian varauksen tekemisen jälkeen yhteydessä). Jeeppiajelu olisi ollut hinnaltaan vähän kalliimpi kuin erikseen netistä ostettuna, mutta koska meitä oli leirissä useampi ajelulle menijä, leirin väki kysyi haluammeko mennä samalla jeepillä. Halusimme, jolloin hinta henkeä kohden laskikin reilusti. Autiomaa oli täynnä samannäköisiä leirejä. Kuulemma ne ovat perheyrityksiä sukujen hallussa pitkään olleilla mailla. Tätäkin leiriä pyöritti joukko nuoria miehiä, joilla oli kaikilla yhteinen isoisä. Autiomaahan ei pääse ajamaan itse. Auto jätetään parkkipaikalle sen reunalle ja leirin väki tulee hakemaan sieltä. Hakuaika sovittiin WhatsAppissa. Itse sovin sen kaksi tuntia aikaisemmin kun lähdin ajamaan Petrasta ja minua oltiin vastassa saapuessani.

Memories Aicha Luxury Camp sijaitsee Wadi Rumissa, ja sieltä avautuu näkymä vuorille. Majoituspaikassa on ravintola ja 24h-vastaanotto. Our stay at Aicha camp was exceptional! The rooms were super clean, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with huge variety of food. The restaurant behind the breakfast dome is more than incredible: the ambiance, the staff especially “Joe” who provided us with insight on the camp and was super helpful and friendly answering load of questions from our side.

This luxurious tent has a hot tub, a spa bath and a sauna. Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchenware in the well-fitted kitchen. The tent also comes with a barbecue. The property was quite nice for a camp. The view from the bubble tent was very nice. Jeep tour was good, and fortunately, the tour guide was the nicest of all the interactions I had with anyone one associated with the camp.

Located in Wadi Rum, within 48 km of Royal Yacht Club and 50 km of Aqaba Fort, Wadi rum Rozana camp provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who... It was the best time of our lives! The staff is very nice and the guests were great during our stay. The camp" "is beautiful and comfortable and the food was exceptional. We loved it and will definitely be back! Great love

This tent has a private entrance. Magic Bedouin Star has a garden and barbecue facilities in Wadi Rum. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our guide Mohammed for the full day tour was both professional and funny to hang out with. He even drove us back to the village at 5:30 AM to allow us to go do the sunrise hot air balloon :-). Location was beautiful, the food very good (we are vegetarian and we always had a variety of things to choose from). The room was basic but with a comfortable bed. The stars were wonderful at night :-) Thank you!
