Probably the best hotel/hostel I have ever stayed at, and certainly in Kyrgyzstan! I stayed here probably about 7 days over the course of ~2 weeks before and after doing some treks. Ana and her team are super friendly, accommodating and treat you like family! Each individual room has a unique design and furniture, and everything works really well! Super clean and overall just a relaxing stay for once you are out of the mountains. The Wi-Fi is super fast, hot water showers, and although I stayed in a room with a private bathroom, there are plenty of toilets and showers throughout the property. The restaurant has a selection of really good western food and local food as well. Each time I would return from a trek I would order a burger and coke! Highly recommended. In addition to the ample seating in the cafe, there’s a really nice garden/courtyard area with plenty of places to chill. In the summer on sundays they host a local culture/entertainment show! Pretty cool Lastly all the staff were really helpful in planning treks and logistics (shoutout Artem!) and they even have a guide book that shows you the different options/marshrutka routes and approximate costs to get places. There’s a grocery store right across the street, and is also a marshrutka stop for the Ala kul hike.

We enjoyed our stay in Karakol Yurt Lodge a lot. We spent more then a week in the area and came back several times. The rooms were always very clean and comfortable. Aygulu and her family were a very friendly hosts, who helped us out with planning our hiking trips, with storing our luggage finding the proper Mashrutka and organising a driver for our next destination as well.

Really friendly owner Great pan for cooking, doesn't stick at all (!) Hot shower with good pressure Clean rooms Quiet place, other guests were friendly. Good for solo traveller in 30's! Kept my stuff for free while I hiked.

Top hostel, la famille est super sympa, toujours disponible est donne de bon conseilsconcernant les treks dans la région.... C est propre, les chambres sont spacieuses est le matelas du lit est confortable.... Facile d accès avec les Mashroukas juste en face du logement.... Supermarché est restaurants à 500m. Je recommande vraiment si vous êtes à Karakol.

While the location is slightly outside of the main part of town, I thought the experience was 100% worth it. The owners have created a magical oasis at Happy Nomad, with comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and a charming setting. The family is absolutely adorable! Highly recommend.
