It was very cosy and a nice retreat. You wake up in a park with hummingbirds in front of your door and a great view of the volcano. Then you can hike the Park trails (ca.3h) and experience a hidden jungle, waterfall with a lot of fauna. Also there is a cool viewpoint where you can get a photo of the volcano and the jungle.

First of all the view of the volcano was spectacular! We arrived early and were greeted by the host's father Tico Felix, who gives the greatest hugs ever!! The abundance of bird species was incredible and waking to the sound of roosters always makes us happy. There were cows in the pasture and one had a calf shortly after we arrived, talk about getting in touch with nature! The Tents were so comfy and pretty roomy and included a personal shower, toilet and sink, plus a mini fridge. The kitchen was well appointed with all the appliances a person could need, all newish and clean. The location was only a few minutes from La Fortuna and had some interesting shops along the way. The host provided multiple links for restaurants and tours in the area. We would definitely come again and bring our family.

Great free activities for the guests! Lockers were great above the mattress. You can ask for a blanket if your room gets cold from the aircon. A great place to make friends

It was an incredible place to stay, and the perfect start of our time in Costa Rica and the La Fortuna Area. I wish we had added one more day, though, just to relax at La Tigra. The setting is BEAUTIFUL, the meals were delicious, and the rooms (imagine glamping) were wonderful.

The property was very clean, and the rooms were far enough away from the road that the road noise was minimal. the pool area was great, with ample lounges to relax on. The landscaping and trees around the pool and property we beautiful, and attracted lots of colourful birds, and created shade so you could get away from the sun, but still enjoy the outdoors. the Bar/Restaurant was great, cocktails were a good price, and the breakfasts were wonderful.
