Beverley Country Cottages is set in Dargle within the Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands, 50 km from Pietermaritzburg. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Lovely large room in old farm house with great bathroom. Tons of atmosphere with beautiful farm surroundings. Were served a delcious homecooked dinner and breakfast in front of the fireplace by very friendly and profocient staff. Highly recommended.

Set within 8.8 km of Owl House Museum in Nieu-Bethesda, Ganora Guest Farm, Camping and Excursions provides accommodation with seating area. We were received by the owner personally who was very friendly and welcoming. We booked a single room, but Hester upgraded our booking to a self service cottage with excellent facilities. Breakfast was included in our booking and we still had the privilege of enjoying our breakfasts. Hester's husband also gave us an tour of the fossil museum, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A supper were offered at a very fair price, which we accepted and it was delivered to our cottage. Very tasty Karoo tripe and a chicken potjiekos.

Featuring free WiFi, Denmark Farm Stay is situated along the R61 road, 30 km from Cradock and 100 km away from Graaff-Reinet. The Mountain Zebra National Park is 20 km away. What a perfect spot! We loved Denmark farm, although our stay was brief. Lots to explore around the cottage and a stream, stoep and fire-pit...what more does one need?!!

Situated in Lady Grey in the Eastern Cape region, Saffier river cottage has a garden. The property is 600 metres from Arbroath and free private parking is available. Rustic farmhouse experience, just what we needed. Would love to stay for a week with friends or family. The optional dinner and breakfast we decided to take was delicious and the instructions how to prepare the food, was a nice touch. Definitely need a 4x4 to get to the cottage.

It is a working farm, so there are some farm smells. The owners are super friendly and attentive to their guests' needs. The pizza's are fantastic, wood fired and tasty.

Copperleigh Trout Cottages offers self-catering accommodation set on the banks of the trout-stocked Mavela Dam, located 30 km from the town of Howick in KZN, of which 7km is gravel road. We had an absolutely amazing stay at Cooperleigh. It was exactly what we needed for a family weekend catch up. We live abroad and came back to South Africa for some travels and to meet up with family and wanted to do an early family Christmas dinner and Ashleigh even arranged for a Christmas tree and lights for us which was so lovely and unexpected. The house was very clean with all the cooking and cleaning utensils you could need. Anything else we needed Ashleigh was just a message away and happy to help. He kept us informed about the loadshedding schedule and helped with back up power if we needed it. The views are lovely and the walks in the area are beautiful. Inhlazane mountain is nearby as well and was a fantastic little hike. The midlands meander is not far and it's easy to explore the cute cafes and galleries in the area. I would highly recommend this property.

Hillmoor Stone Cottage is situated in Hillvue and offers free bikes and barbecue facilities. Guests can benefit from a patio and an outdoor fireplace. Location , endless walks, beautiful scenery and the most perfect 3 bedroom home. We’ve been back 3 times this year.. can’t stay away.

Set in the rural village of Bathurst, Kingston Farm offers accommodation on a working appaloosa and duck farm. Featuring BBQ facilities, the property also has a bar on site. The attention to detail, for example they provided soap, body wash, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The breakfasts were amazing. Carla is a very talented chef. The rooms were big and it was handy having the little kitchenette, table and chairs and couch.

Located 14km from Maclear, Fairbairn Guest Farm is set amongst tranquil surroundings and features a garden, barbecue facilities and the Maclear Country Club & Golf Estate is a 15-minute drive away. Remoteness and solitude complemented by wonderful host and staff. Delightfully decorated and spacious living area with practical common space for catering and meals etc. All our needs met and the personal touch by our host Linky.
