Mit ca 30 bezaubernden Menschen Familie, Freunde Gäste aus 10 Nationen haben wir zwei Tage ein herrlich gemütliches, lässiges Fest miterlebt, bei dem jeder mit anpackte, mit sang, faulenzte und sich zwischendurch immer wieder zurückziehen konnte. Die grosszügige Atmosphäre der schön renovierten Roca passte wunderbar um sich komplett fallen zu lassen. Joana und Ricardo sind achtsam im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes: Liebevolle Details zeugen hiervon an allen Ecken und die Hilfsbereitschaft der beiden ist unübertroffen. Besonders geeignet dürfte das Haus für Familien mit kleinen Kindern oder Leuten sein, die wirklich Ruhe suchen. Jederzeit wieder!

Die Unterkunft Eden Valley Ecolodge and Farming besticht durch einen Pool, einen Garten sowie ein Restaurant und Poolblick. Sie befindet sich in Madalena und bietet kostenloses WLAN. I have stayed 2 nights on the 1 bed bungalow + 4 nights on the 2 bed bungalow: this review will be about both of these to avoid duplicate reviews. About the bungalows: - The bungalows are absolutely beautiful, very well cleaned, beautifully decorated. Mattress and pillows were super comfortable, as well as quality of the sheets. And bonus points - only accommodation in Sao Tome I found a duvet!!! Most places have just a small blanket but nothing beats a proper duvet for someone like me who always gets cold at night. - It has a mini fridge, a TV, hot water with good pressure, quality towels, a hammock and sofas outside to chill. Honestly, this is top quality accommodation, especially for the cost. About the property: - The staff are super kind and helpful and made me feel very looked after <3 and the owner Erikson was always available through whatsapp ready to send tips, ask how things are going, etc also super accommodating with doing late check out since my flights was not before 10pm. - Their menu is really amazing, and they have proper vegetarian meals!!! It's amazing to feel that vegetarian meals are not just an afterthought. The desserts were also absolutely spectacular (that passionfruit mousse... to die for). And the omelette they made for lunch was exquisite, other locations should learn from them on how to make an omelette dish that is actually good, not oily, balanced and super tasty. - The waterfall that can be heard from anywhere in the property is yet another amazing selling point. You can hike to see it up close! - I enjoyed the pool and the pond next to it, with fish and turtles! Even if turtles were a bit shy. Nice place to refresh after a day out. - And last but not least, Jeff, the ginger cat. He's such a lovely kitty!!! As a crazy cat lady this was definitely one of the best things (I often look for cat references in reviews so leaving this one for other crazy cat people like myself :)) Overall top notch accommodation in Sao Tome!

The accommodation was wonderful, an oasis inside of the beautiful jungle. There is a beautiful garden, filled with exotic tropical flowers. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had good sleeps since the nights were quiet, dark and peaceful. Maria, the host, was warm and hospitable. Food is the best! Very yummy fish and very fresh fruits and vegetables, and the coffee is the best in the world!

If you want to experience ancient Sao Tomean times - it is time to go to Roca Sao Joao de Angolares. Incredible roca (plantation house), very clean, complex, with perfect meals served on roofed terrace with view of the sea, village and the evergreen jungle. High seilings, arc windows and doors, wooden stairs, wooden veranda, and lot of woodwork... On top of that no AC to destroy the authentic feeling - ceiling fan slowly moves hot air away. The roca is a perfect base for southern trips (equator island, Malanza and souther beaches).
