The venue had been picked for personal reasons due to its location to the River Sangro where there was fierce fighting in November 1943. The views across the plain, towards the mountains were superb and certainly gave a good idea of the terrain. Our room was perfect, had everything we needed. We asked for dinner and were fed like royalty. A delicious 3 course meal served with beer, wine and copious supplies of water. Breakfast the next morning, all you could want. Second night's meal we opted to sit outside and watch the sun go down. A magnificent 3 course meal again with beer, wine etc. We fully expected a much higher charge when we came to pay the bills as we had not thought to question cost but were very pleasantly surprised. Would certainly stay again if in the area.

Housed in a historic building, Alloggi Agrituristici Antica Dimora provides a garden, as well as accommodation with free WiFi and a kitchenette in San Demetrio neʼ Vestini. Very nice location, building nicely renovated, rooms very clean. Very good breakfast with excellent Italian coffee. Anna Maria is very nice person always willing to help. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and cozy, with sunrise view. Stuff is very, friendly, communicative and helpful. Margarita and Valeria are very caring. breakfast was very nice. Oh, those ricotta cakes and tarts! We had an Interesting chat with Simon, who told us a lot about the area and more.

Recently refurbished building, very clean and comfortable rooms, bed and pillows better then most places we stayed at with 4-5 stars The owner Luciano produces wine- worth trying Very good breakfast- local cakes, cheese, yogurt
