If you want a place to stay that feels like you're welcomed into a nice rural home then this is a great option. There is also a pair of modest outdoor bar/restaurants a short walk away for watching the sunset or looking at the lights of Manizales.

We could write a long list of things that we loved about this property. To start, the grounds and view are absolutely stunning. We could see all the way to Manizales from the property! Our kids spent hours playing on the swing set, playing soccer, playing billiards, and swimming in the pool. In the evenings we watched Netflix in the room. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and Carolina, the host, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. She even took us on a tour of the coffee farm for a reasonable fee. We learned so much, had fun, and got to taste different varieties of amazing coffee! We ate every item on the menu at the on-site restaurant, and each was deliciously prepared by Lilianna, who adapted items for a vegetarian family member, and was so patient with our poor Spanish. We were very comfortable in our big room and the beds we so comfortable, when sharing with our kids we couldn't tell when they were rolling over. We slept, ate, and spent time well at Villa Clara. Highly recommended!

I came for one day and stayed for four. This is an amazing spot in the hills around Riosucio. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite my limited Spanish. Thank you guys so much for having me and making this my favourite part of my travel in Colombia <3 The biannual Carnival del Diablo was on while I was in town. Very little information online but there were thousands of people there, and everybody was having a great time together. Lots to keep busy. The "glamping" tents out the back of the lodge are incredible. They're next to a little stream and very comfortable. There is a bus that runs every hour and a half into town and back. You can catch it near the main square, or ask one the taxis or scooters to take you up for around 10,000 pesos, if I remember correctly.
