Our stay was perfect. The room was wonderful and the host and staff even better. We had a glorious dinner and were treated to a special tasting of local liqueurs by the host. We can not recommend Agriturismo San Gallo highly enough.

Two beautiful cats and two dogs live in the property, making pet lovers feel at ease and kids happy to play with them. Just outside the property, there is plenty of opportunities to take long walks on easy trails, completely surrounded by forest and fields. The restaurant serves amazing, locally sourced food and has an incredible wine list. In one word, this place is paradise!

Agriturismo Al Palaz är ett miljövänligt hotell som producerar vin, frukt, grönsaker och olika typer av sylt. Det ligger i San Cassiano Valchiavenna, 5 km från Chiavenna. Här erbjuds gratis Wi-Fi. Beautiful and clean room, it had huge wardrobes to put our luggage away, and the towels were great. Spacious balcony. Excellent breakfast buffet and delicious dinner. We really enjoyed out stay. The staff was nice, we got some tips on activities and they helped us with bike rentals. Great for families with small children.

Agriturismo La Ca' Vegia ligger i San Cassiano och erbjuder boende med utsikt över bergen, gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering, 48 km från Villa Carlotta. Very nice agriturismo. On a farm with cows and calves, also a few cute and friendly dogs, some chickens, etc. It was alfalfa cutting time while we were there, and they were hard at work cutting the hay. It is a real working dairy farm and you can walk around to see the cows. There are several bikes of different sizes that you can use there to explore. The view of the surrounding mountains is just spectacular. There are chaise lounges where you can lay and just look at the mountains. The breakfast is huge and fresh and amazing--coffees and tea, yogurt (fresh from the farm, apple cake, cookies, fruit, fresh juice, cooked egg, cereals, bread, jam, butter, etc, all on your table for you. Room was comfortable and shower was nice. The building where we slept/ate is a historical postal stop from an era ago, I think for Italy/Switzerland. There are several rooms with historical artifacts and photos. Very charming. You can buy their dairy products on site from a vending machine (milk, yogurt, desserts, etc.), or also in town. Very easy check-in/check-out procedures. Short drive to Lake Como or Chiavenna. Also easy to access St. Mortiz, if you want.

Agriturismo Al Castagneto ligger 5 minuters bilresa från Mazzo di Valtellina och erbjuder en trädgård och boende med utsikt över bergen. Denna bondgård ligger 30 minuters bilresa från Bormio. The staff is wonderful. The owner and the employees went out of their way to make us happy.
