This was the most amazing stay and location. Views of the country that roles on forever.. Accommodation was spotless. Definitely a piece of paradise with very helpful hosts. Wow! This was an entire house in the country. Plenty of beds to pick from. Felt very safe out there. It felt like staying on a ranch. It brought make memories of growing up in the country. The owner was extremely friendly. Country Folk!

Fantastic that I was allowed to walk around the farm and see the evidence of millions of years of Earth history when the Karoo was an inland sea, and thin layers of sediment was deposited, and now sits on a 85° angle, with trace fossils of the still primordial wetland... Zebras and springbok are the myriad, of uniquely Karoo fynbos, with the unique fresh scent in the air. The bright Karoo starlight makes the winter night priceless. Even though I slept in the caravan, I enjoyed a king's view of the night sky. Far enough out from the maddening crowd, yet near enough to all the tourists attractions in the cities and towns nearby. Probably nice to bring your mountain bike, and rest at one of the many picnics tables in the veld. Lula, the friendly sheep dog went out walking with me, and we had many adventures.

We absolutely loved our stay at De Zeekoe. It was our favourite accommodation on our south Africa trip. So much so we definitely should have stayed a second night. Our dinner at the property was great and the views were absolutely phenomenal. We added the meerkat sunrise tour to our stay and loved it. The hosts also helped us book our cango caves tour upon arrival.

We loved this beautiful cottage in the country side. It is well equipped and very cosy. When last did we find a home baked bread and a bottle of wine on the kitchen table? Very spacious with a stoep in the front and the back. Will be back, thank you Elmarié.
