Beforehand we asked for recommendations of Wineries and were provided with a whole list. All of them looked amazing and the one we picked was a true gem! The drive to the accommodation was scenic and upon arrival we were already glad we made the choice to stay there. The lady at check in was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. Turns out we were the only guests that night, meaning we had the whole place to our own which was amazing. The dinner at the property turned out to be sublime, with incredible staff to complement it and we fully enjoyed it. The Villa itself was spacious, spotless and had a great view over the vineyards. Breakfast was a treat and we are really hoping to come back. A huge thanks to the whole team for making it the experience it was!

An incredible century-old home, the location was incredible with great views of the village. The infinity pool area was such a pleasant surprise and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. Thank you to the friendly staff and our great host Joanna for making us feel so welcome and accommodating us and providing some great attractions in the area. Would love to be back someday.

Quinta de Santa Julia is an enchanting place. A fairytale forest greets you and opens up to the most exceptional view of the Douro valley. The 17th century villa, breathtaking views, and amazing infinity pool are not to be missed. Eduardo was charming and generous, the family history, tour, and port was an unforgettable experience. There’s no place like this in the world!

everything! It’s a very beautiful and big property. The rooms are great, nice kitchen and comfortable living room. It has everything you could ever need. My favorite part was sitting by the vineyards and watching the sunset.

Vi älskade Casa de Azenha från första stund! Vi blev otroligt varmt välkomnade av Maria, Alcira och Diego som visade oss runt i såväl lägenheten som den fantastiska trädgården (så söta små kycklingar!) Ljuvlig frukost där äggen, juicen och marmeladen kom direkt från gården, sånt älskar jag! Vår sons favorit var den nybakade kakan. Maria kom dessutom med tips på massor av platser att besöka och bokade restauranger åt oss. En absolut höjdpunkt var att Maria dessutom ordnade så att vi kunde gå på vinprovning på gården precis intill. Vi skulle inte tveka en sekund att komma hit igen om vi återvänder till Dourodalen! Vi är så tacksamma!

Just a fabulous place to stay. 5 star ⭐️ in every way. From the lovely welcome we had from Carla to the immuculate, beautiful and comfortable upstairs suite with its own balcony overlooking the pool and the vineyards, it was the very best place to stay. Everything is thought of, from the poolside beds, to the comfortable garden furniture provided to make your stay more relaxing. We enjoyed a delicious and very varied breakfast the next morning before setting off.
