In a tranquil but easily-accessible area, from Castel Pietraio you can be at San Gimignano in half an hour, as well as numerous other pretty historic towns. If you prefer to stay closer to home, you can go horseriding, walking or cycling directly from the castle and just 500 metres away is a village with shops and restaurants.
