Kilauea House is set in Volcano, 18 km from Kilauea, 45 km from Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo, as well as 49 km from University of Hawaii, Hilo. Perfectly located a short drive from the national park entrance. The hosts were lovely and gave us local tips (one of them is a ranger at the national park). The room was so carefully appointed and the breakfast was fantastic, with so much food and a great variety. The garden outside the room was lovely too.

The apartment is very pretty and clean, it’s right next to the ocean and the views of the coast are amazing. Perfect place for birds lovers. The host is very friendly and has a lot of helpful tips. Ocean View Paradise! features free WiFi and views of sea in Hawaiian Ocean View. The unit boasts a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. It was a good central spot to see both sides of the island. We did ally of driving. Nice hot tub.

Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat is a chalet situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea and 9.6 km from Volcano National Park's entrance. The lodge was cute. Great for relaxing getaway. We really appreciated the attention to detail for making staying there comfortable and easy. Checkin was particularly easy.

Iao Valley Inn features river views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Wailuku, 3.2 km from Iao Valley State Park. Wonderful location, in one of the most beautiful parts of Maui. So much nicer than staying in a resort hotel. So peaceful - just the sound of the river and birds - with fabulous views, a comfortable room and delicious breakfasts left on our own patio/fridge for the next day. One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed.
