The staff truly is exceptional – attentive, friendly, and always eager to assist. Each meal was a delightful experience, with delicious food that exceeded our expectations. After a long day of exploring, sinking into the hotel’s comfortable bed felt like a luxury. But the cherry on top has to be the breathtaking view overlooking the Baltic Sea, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop that’s hard to put into words. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The hotel is very clean and nicely set up. Everything is tasteful: fresh wild flowers at the entrance, a nice common refrigerator, a common area and a very welcoming host. The breakfast was delicious, abundant and made freshly every day by the host. She also helped us to plan our day and it was the best day we could have had on the island. She truly is a lovely lady.

Dating back to 1881, this family-owned hotel is located in central Västervik, right next to Västervik Train Station. It offers individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi access and cable TV. The way I was welcomed. The storage of the bike wasn‘t a problem… and so on. The breakfast.

Set between Lakes Toven and Ålsjön, these tastefully decorated cottages and rooms are 25 km south of Västervik. The cottages offer a BBQ, kitchenette and private patio. It was very quiet and a great experience in the middle of nature. Lena (the host) was very nice, helpful and she is a very good cook. The cottage had very lovely furniture and decorations.

Situated 20 km from Astrid Lindgren’s World Theme Park, Vimmerby Stugby offers free sauna access and accommodation with fully equipped kitchens. Granssjön Beach is a 5-minute drive away. Very welcoming owner, ensuring that we feel good and have everything we need. We actually were there 2nd time and for sure will come back again!
