The house is an old manor full of character and charm, right in the center of Manteigas. The room is very spacious, the heating works great and the bed is comfy. The staff is really friendly, and went above and beyond to provide vegan breakfast options for us, after we asked at the time of booking if there would be any. They got us plant milk, yogurt, cheese, butter and galantine, and even made delicious apple pastries and pancakes for us! That's on top of what I assume is their usual, "accidentally vegan" assortment of different kinds of bread, cereal, fruit and jams. We couldn't be happier.

The hotel is very clean, comfortable and has everything that one may need. Great position, service and breakfast. Totally recommended.

Situated within 26 km of Parque Natural Serra da Estrela and 24 km of Belmonte Calvário Chapel, Quinta Lourena - Casa do Caseiro features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Covilhã.... Breakfast was super nice, room is spacious, windows to the East… And it’s so cool to sit by the swimming pool with a view on a fruit garden!

Featuring free bikes, garden and views of garden, Be Alva is set in Oliveira do Hospital, 48 km from Manteigas Hot Springs. Cristina was an amazing host. Very friendly and courteous. Every morning for breakfast, we enjoyed a basket with a variety of local products, that was brought to our door. We were also able to make requests at any time, which were dealt with immediately and got really nice recommendations of what to do in the area. The flat is located right by the stream and is perfect if you want to spend a peaceful and relaxing time in the nature. There is also a goat farm right next door, which can be visited, and the view from the apartment as well as the surrounding area is incredible beautiful. We were also able to use the bikes at any time, but a car is still recommended for travelling to the nearby villages and especially the nature reserve, which can both be reached in around 30 minutes. We really enjoyed our stay at Be Alva and would always come back!

We've had a trully oustanding, wholesome and relaxing time at this property. All the elements have been thought through to combine into a perfect, authentic experience - you can tell the property owners have put heart, mind and soul into this project. Will 100% be coming back.

Fantastic little guest house. Awesome owner who couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. He provided us with lots of great local information to assist us with our trip. Bedroom and bathroom were a great size. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend this little gem of a place to anyone.
