Wow - what a great place. Karthik and Vikash have done a wonderful job with this hostel. It has a great family/community vibe, without being a party hostel. It’s pretty new (as of Feb 2024) so everything is squeaky clean. Beds are clean and comfortable and AC in the AC dorm is great. Also the Wifi is really fast. There’s areas upstairs and downstairs for chilling out and meeting fellow travellers, and the staff are great at organising activities - like surf lessons and kayaking in the mangrove forest. There’s cafes/restaurants very close by, and the main tourist strip on the Varkala cliff is about 10 minutes walk away. Can’t wait to go back.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Large room, no issues with the hot water, quiet in the evenings. Very large breakfasts with continental, Kerala or both style breakfasts if you want it. There is a common balcony overlooking a garden which we used each morning looking for the local birds. Restaurants aren't what we'd consider walking distance, but tuk-tuks are close and cheap. Their recommendations for restaurants were good and safe for the ones we tried. The Shikaras and houseboats are literally around the corner, but we recommend talking to the managers about booking those as they will steer you right. We tried both ways and got far better results from their recommendation.

She helped me a lot in planning my trip, getting a driver, advising restaurants, she really cares a lot. And does a yummy breakfast.

Very nice traditional kerala boat with all the amenities, very helpful staff that took care of us constantly during our stay. It’s my second booking of this property, this time I brought family and friends! It’s a jewel of the experience

Crossroads Hostel 1957 se găsește în Wayanad, la 18 km de Heritage Museum, și are biciclete gratuite, o grădină, un lounge comun și parcare privată gratuită. I had the perfect stay at crossroads, amazing vibe and the setting was perfect. Can easily hire a bike if u want to explore Wayanad or sit back a relax, really felt like i was home. I could of easily stayed for weeks even after extending my stay. Hospitality was so nice and the food served by the chef was amazing with huge portions and with little cost. Oh and theres a dog that will follow u around if u feed him biscuits 😃 see u soon guys!
