So the opportunity to stay in a castle was too good to pass up. Schloss Schadau did not disappoint. We were met at reception by Helen who could not have been more helpful and was also had a wealth of knowledge about the property. She personally showed us to our beautiful room which had a magnificent view of the lake and the Alps behind. If you stay here you simply MUST have dinner here as well. Again there is no escaping from the fact that you are in a castle ! The dining room(s) are luxurious and the food and the service are excellent, matching the decor. Breakfast is served in the same location. It wasn't cheap, but hey ! It's a castle. If you are able to stay one night or more here. You should do it. Unforgettable.

Consisting of 3 separate chalets, the CityChalet is located next to the Aare River, 300 metres from the centre of Interlaken. Each apartment has a balcony or terrace overlooking the garden or the Jungfrau Massif. Free Wi-Fi is available. This place is fantastic. It's right in the city, so you can walk to places to eat and shop. The hosts are super nice. They made sure we were happy and comfortable throughout our stay. There's a river next to the property and the views of the snowy mountains are amazing. It's a great place to relax. The rooms are very cozy and clean. We had a great sleep every night. There's an Indian grocery store and Indian restaurant nearby which is very handy. In short, this place has it all - a great location, friendly hosts, beautiful views, and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend it!
