Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Our room was spacious with all amenities. Water, tea, coffee on each floor. Good, central location. Great breakfast in a very nice atmosphere.

Hotel Spalentor is located opposite the Botanic Gardens, a 5-minute walk from the Old Town of Basel and the University, and offers free bicycles, free WiFi, a fitness area and a quiet garden with a... Large rooms, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff. The location is within walking distance of the old city center and the botanical gardens where we had a picnic with sandwiches from the excellent Italian deli nearby. We invited some friends for breakfast on our last day which was no problem at all.

Kiki's B&B is located in Basel, 800 metres from the Messe Basel exhibition centre. Free WiFi access is available, and the garden features a terrace and barbecue facilities. The location is great and right next to a major public transport stop. The room and bathroom was perfectly sized for one/two people. It was also very clean. The breakfast was also really good with a few different rotating options each day. Rolf and Kiki were absolutely warm and welcoming hosts. They were very helpful, friendly and very forthcoming with any possible queries that I had.

Just a 10-minute drive south of Basel, this hotel is set within a forested area on the Rhine riverbank. It offers a restaurant, rooms for weddings and seminars, and a spacious riverside terrace. The breakfast was wonderful. Location was unexpectedly beautiful, with nature walks in both directions along the Rhine River. Our room was lovely, and all staff were very kind and attentive. The outdoor part of the restaurant had great views all around. We wished we could have stayed longer.

AVLiving City Loft Basel is located in the centre of Basel, 200 metres from Kunstmuseum Basel and 400 metres from the Architectural Museum. Free WiFi is offered. The location--a short walk to grocery stores, tram stops, the Rhine, and the famous Basler Art Museum--is wonderful. A city tax, payable upon check-in, rewards guests with an unlimited tram/bus ticket for free travel on the entire Basel public transportation network. The apartment, accessible by elevator, was quiet and spacious, including a balcony with seating, a large bedroom with generous storage space, and a larger sitting room and full-equipped kitchen area. Re-charging outlets for electronic devices next to the nightstands were convenient. The shower/bathtub and sink are in one room, a toilet and tiny sink in another. We especially liked the superior body and shampoo liquid soaps. All the fixtures are very modern. There is a washer and dryer in a hallway room nearby.

A 5-minute walk from the Basel SBB Train Station, Basel Charme offers self-catering accommodation in a typical historic town house, dating back to 1898. Ladina is amazing and did her best to address our needs. Hot water at all times. All I needed was there.

Only a 5-minute walk from the St. Jakob Park sports stadium, the B&B Auf dem Wolf is located south-east of the centre of Basel. Great host. Explained what all there is to see in the city. She marked on the map and recommended the biggest sights. Breakfast excellent. Accommodation is wonderful.
