The staff is super kind and attentive, the room is clean and comfortable, the rooftop bar and the swimming pool are just perfect, providing us with a great relaxation after a busy day touring the island. The Cliff Bay is a wonderful hotel. Every member of staff, reception, dining room, bars, spa, household are thoroughly professional. Our room ( no 724 ) with fantastic views overlooking the ocean and marina, was immaculately cleaned every day and well equipped with mini bar, baths robes, slippers, even a choice of pillows. The food in both the restaurants, we used, was delicious, well presented and varied. Restaurant staff were so well trained and welcoming. There was lovely background music played live as we ate, from singers, musicians and even a traditional Madeiran band. The spa was excellent, we used it 5 times for massages and treatments. We had a wonderful stay at the Cliff Bay. We spoken to other guests who echoed our opinion of the hotel. Some had returned there many times.

This apartment is very good for a couple to stay or family if the owner provide a aditional bed as apartment is big. The apartment is new and in city center o Funchal Where you can find all good atraction of Madeira just by fill minutes city walk. The light and ventilation in the partment is great. If you like to be in city center but no high noise this place is for you. Also if you are tall and have problems to find comfortable beds to sleep and showers with right high too you, you gonna find in this apartment.

We lived in the Topazio apartments, which is located on the third level, elevator is present. The apartments are new, very spacious and designed in Art Nouveau style. There is a living room with kitchen, a bedroom, shower room with toilet and separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need (except oven): dishwasher, a good selection of dishes, utensils and sharp knives. I especially liked the electronic control of lighting and air conditioning. There are two air conditioners, one in the living room, the second in the bedroom. TV with smart-tv function, connected to the Internet. WiFi is fast, no disconnects. The entrance to the apartments is from the back of the house on a quiet street. The location of the apartments is excellent, the living room windows overlook a small but very beautiful and cozy park with exotic trees. Nearby is the famous Blandy's Wine Lodge. To the shopping center and supermarket Pingo Doce about 5 minutes on foot, also seafront is nearby. Check-in takes place at the Madeira Hotel, which is located 50 meters away. You can also use the hotel swimming pool for free. Special thanks to the staff for the opportunity for an early check-in and a gift of a bottle of Madeira wine and a Bolo de mel )

Great spot tucked in the hills with broad expansive views. The common pool/hot tub areas were a nice treat after traveling.

We loved the apartment! The best is the view of the city and the terrace. But also there are two bathrooms and kitchen fully equipped. It is close to the city center. You have to walk to the hill, but this is normal here. The communication was great. Definately recommended.

Jose the host is great, hospitable and very relaxed and the apartment has everything you need in life. It's genuinely an apartment suited for living, if it was your home, you wouldn't be missing a thing. It's also located within walking distance of more or less all of the livelier and more important bits of Funchal. You have bus stops, restaurants and grocery shops near you. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it. P.S. if you're a light sleeper, bring ear muffs. Funchal is a very hilly city and the night traffic can get loud. This is not a fault of the apartment as this is a characteristic of the whole city, just a friendly recommendation.
