There were great views from the villa and it was nice being out side the main town of Lillehammer. The road up to the property was steep but was cleared by a tractor when it snowed, and we had 4-wheel drive so no problems there. The fridge was well stocked with food items for breakfast. The host was very easy to contact and responded very promptly to any enquiries. The social spaces in the house are excellent - plenty of room for everyone to sit in comfort. There were lots of 'extras' provided eg TV apps, digital games, regular games.

We really enjoyed our time here! The house is situated in a quiet area, overlooking the lake - nevertheless there is a bus station and a supermarket in only 3 minutes walking distance. The house has a lot of history, we would have loved to read the history also in English, but we understood some aspects from the pictures and with Google Translate. The kitchen is so well equipped! We cooked every meal of our 10 day stay in this kitchen. Hege put on the warm blankets for us, which was very kind. We had a great time in Vingnes!

A small hotel in the heart of Lillehammer that’s perfect for taking a break from driving and close to Oslo. I have booked a room for two people which was wonderful and comfortable it had great cozy beds and full functional bathroom that had everything from towels to shampoo. Th view from the room window was something else, relaxing nature sounds and trees to help you sleep, which what I needed after 6 hour drive, also at the reception area you can find a little place that has few coffee and tea and you can buy something to eat like noodles, popcorn and chips to fill you stomach. In the morning I was welcomed to the most amazing and delicious breakfast I had which had everything and matched everyone from vegan to meat lovers , with your preferred drink hot or cold like fresh juice. The 3 stars was 5min walk to the open air museum which I loved and recommend every one to have a look to it.
