We were lucky to stay at Anand Kanan during our 3-day trip to Varanasi. Both of us were in Varanasi for the first time. The experience on the streets with all the colors,sounds and smells can be intense, so it was very good to have a quiet safe home where we can just come and rest. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and it was great to have a restaurant inside where the food was good and we didnt need to put extra effort to find a good place to eat if we felt tired. It was a great pleasure to meet the owner of the hotel, Arvind. We enjoyed his welcome tea and great conversation about Indian philosophy and Varanasi.

This is probably the best choice we could make when staying in Varanasi. Not only because the location is perfect and close to everything, but also because the hosts are great, helpful and did their best to help us get to know Varanasi in the best way possible. The vibe of the whole homestay is very welcoming and warm. The breakfast at the rooftop is a big plus too.
